I was honoured to be chosen for a second term of office as Mayor of our wonderful town… a place in which I have lived, brought up my family, worked and been involved with our community for thirty eight years.
This coming civic year I look forward to meeting residents, businesses and community organisations that are the life-blood of this town. There are so many fantastic groups, organisations and charities that help make the town what it is. I will also be attending many events throughout the forthcoming year celebrating your achievements and contributions to the town of Bridlington.
This year I have chosen the Spotlight Theatre in the town as my Mayoral Charity for which I will be raising funds through several events. This community based theatre has grown from rehearsing in church halls to having it’s own theatre on West Street in Bridlington providing a range of entertainment for all the family. This includes Summer and Christmas shows, pantomimes, hosting touring plays, and showcasing the popular dementia friendly films shows.
It is with the upmost pleasure we announce that Councillor Mike Heslop-Mullens has been appointed as the Mayor of Bridlington for the Civic Year 2026-2027. The Mayor has chosen The Spotlight Theatre as his Charity for 2026-27.
