
Mental Health Crisis Support
999 – If somebody is at risk or harming themselves or somebody else the safest response is to dial 999 and ask for an ambulance. The paramedics are trained to deal with crisis situations and can call on other professionals as required.
Humber NHS Foundation Trust – Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is the main provider of specialist mental health services in the area. Individuals in crisis who live in the East Riding, and who are over the age of 18, can access their services 24/7 via the Mental Health Advice and Support Line by calling 0800 138 0990. Alternatively, if you feel you need support but are not in crisis, you can contact the East Riding Emotional Wellbeing Service via their website: https://eastridingtalkingtherapies.humber.nhs.uk/
NHS 111 – For non-emergency advice on how to deal with a health related situation use the national 111 service.
GP – If the situation is less urgent the concerns about health should go through the GP surgery. Contact details for surgeries can be found at https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/find-a-gp. The out of hours GP service can be contacted through NHS 111.
